It is amazing to observe how many souvenir shops pop up each season in Prague in the attempt to sell even more Bohemia Crystal Glass, Prague T-shirts, Prague sweatshirts and other stuff to the tired tourists from Italy, Japan or Russia. You can hardly get any food in the city center but you can buy tons of marionettes, chandeliers, sweatshirts, wooden watches or enameled cups.
Observing tourists who come into a souvenir shop and look for something interesting to bring with them home as a travel memory, you would find out that most of them are looking for things that are 1) cheap and colorful and 2) genuinely local. The cheap ones can be T-shirts, cigarette lighters, purse mirrors or small wooden watches. The latter ones typical are Bohemia Crystal glass products.
